Reflective Material
All Chevron Kits Supplied With R3B Materials Comply With Chapter 8.
Previously chevron kits were made from fluorescent and Engineering Grade Reflective Materials, however, with advances in technology, better materials have been made with higher visibility and reflectivity. Now Prismatic Grade Materials are used together with fluorescent material for road safety and maintenance work.

Prismatic Grade Material ( Chapter 8 Compliance )

Highly retro-reflective with a higher reflectivity value compared to engineering grade.
Commonly used in emergency services, road maintenance & construction under Chapter 8.
Colours available:
Coloured vinyl

For non-reflective requirements, graphics, and text. Visible in good lighting conditions only.
Used for company logos, graphic design, advertisements and wraps on vehicles.

Ra1 Vs Ra2 Vs R3b Micro-Prismatic Sheeting:
RA1 (R1)

Lowest light return.Used where reflective performance is not as important. (Engineering Grade Material)
Used to display parking signs and number plates.
RA2 (R2)

Medium light return.Used where reflective performance is important (Prismatic Grade Material)
Used as a warning, prohibitory and direction signs in high-risk areas.
R3B

Superior light return. Reflective performance is very important. Chapter 8 material.(Prismatic Grade Material)
